Food Allergies
are a Growing Epidemic

More than 15 million Americans, approximately 5% of adults and 8% of children, have a food allergy and nearly 40 percent of these children have already experienced a severe or life-threatening reaction. Studies have revealed living with food allergies, strict avoidance of the allergen and the fear of accidental exposure, increases anxiety and has a negative impact on a child’s quality of life as well as the family’s quality of life.

There is good news! Strict avoidance of problem foods is no longer the only way to prevent a reaction. Many promising new treatments are available. Among the currently available successful treatment options is Oral Immunotherapy (OIT), it is proven to result in desensitization and tolerance.

We are proud to be the first food oral immunotherapy (OIT) center in the State of New York! Avoiding food allergens is not the only option. We provide comprehensive food allergy diagnosis and management that includes a detailed history, allergy skin tests, allergen-specific IgE blood tests, IgE component tests, BAT (basophil activation tests), EoP (Eosinophil Progenitor Cells), SIP (Immune Phenotypes). We offer food oral challenges, food SLIT (Sublingual Immunotherapy), and food OIT (Oral Immunotherapy). Our 20+ years of experience in Food Allergy and a decade of food desensitization have made us a premier food allergy center of excellence.
